**Description**



# Summary



TheAnalytics Directoris responsible for leading a team of portfolio destination managers who are tasked with delivering insightful analyses of franchised and managed hotel and associated market level performance. He/She will drive data-based insights and quantitative analysis geared towards driving action through the revenue-generating organization. The Analytics Director will ensure the team has robust data accessibility and effective tools to explore and connect various internal and external sources of performance data. He/She will tie together the varying ebbs and flows in performance amongst and across regions, segments, and brands. He/She will generate and coordinate the "story" by creating clear messaging and tailoring the communication and recommended approaches and strategies to cross-functional leaders. This leader will utilize a Revenue Management approach to maximize revenue and associated opportunity to our vast hotel portfolio by marrying components of quantitative and qualitative data and connecting to our customer and loyalty strategies and by leveraging knowledge of technological feasibilities and opportunities. He/She will be able to make strong recommendations through crisp, concise representations of trended research. The actions will be geared towards pricing optimization either through rate of day and/or promotional rates utilizing an algorithmic approach and/or a custom fit at hotel or hotel-grouped level. He/She will be able to partner successfully primarily with Marketing, Loyalty, and Operations counterparts to develop and drive a cohesive approach to our hotels including but not limited to digital and integrated marketing and messaging, search engine optimization, effective distribution partnership with internal distribution teams and OTA partners, and help lead and drive effective communications through our field organization to our hotels. The successful leader will use historical data trends and forward-looking pace of business insights designed to capture and win revenue market share.



# Responsibilities



+ Present findings regularly to various business stakeholders and drive a weekly cross-functional team discussion to drive insights and organizational alignment.

+ Provide regular and ad-hoc analytical data, presentations, and reports on business as usual and limited time offers e.g. promotional reporting.

+ Tie together the broader portfolio stories by marrying various regional and hotel trending perspectives; Drive pricing insights and opportunities via segmentation and modeling efforts with the destination managers.

+ Provide innovative thought leadership and cultivate a proactive data-insights team.

# Scope/Financial Responsibility



Drive revenue generating and marketing spend efficiencies in support of driving hotel RevPAR and RevPAR Index.

+ Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by other associates.



## Experience/Certificates/Education



+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics/Applied Statistics, Economics, Finance, or closely related field.

+ 3-10 years of relevant experience; MBA/Masters a plus.

+ Excel skills required; SAS or statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R, Python) knowledge preferred.

+ Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
