**Airport Operations**

The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.

**Job overview and responsibilities**

The Supervisor - Hub Business Partners is responsible for ensuring all service providers are compliant with established standard operating procedures at hub stations. This supervisor conducts observational inspections of service partner work, to ensure service providers maintain staffing levels to contracted terms. This supervisor also ensures service providers are following federal, state and local regulatory compliance

requirements especially for fueling and cabin security search procedures. This role may be asked to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements, assessing penalties per contract terms. This position reconciles completed work with monthly billing and collaborates with

cross-divisional leadership in resolution of vendor related problems/issues. This supervisor will confirm Vendor Operational Safety programs are being followed that comply with DOT, FAA, OSHA and corporate regulations. This role observes vendor training programs to ensure compliance with United corporate training programs and conducts periodic reviews of training records. This supervisor also maintains current understanding of scope of work and specific requirements outlined in any United service manuals depending on service provider. This position ensures that vendors are delivering what is required in accordance with the contract. This role reports to the Manager - Hub Business Partners in assigned hub and provides reports/information of operational performance.

Execution of Contractual requirements and Standard Operating Procedures:

+ Maintain current understanding of work scope as defined in the service providers contract and specific requirements for vendor contracts to ensure that vendors are delivering what is required in accordance with the contract

+ Ensure service partners are using the correct SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)

+ Observe all service providers daily and record their performance, in addition reporting gains and failures in a timely manner

Staffing Compliance:

+ Review the roster of service providers employees to ensure they are adequately staffed to complete all assigned missions

+ In the case of irregular operations with more or less aircraft than expected, may prioritize the work to ensure the best possible result without delays

+ Provide support as a liaison with other service partners or United co-workers

Safety, Security, and Regulatory Compliance and Training:

+ Manage Vendor Operational Safety programs and initiatives to comply with DOT, FAA, and corporate regulations

+ Manage real time training, intervention, and enforcement with regards to safety in partnership with vendors, United and United Express Partners

+ Responsible for ensuring suppliers are complaint with all mandatory training requirements

Financial Administration:

+ Reconcile the work completed by service provider on a nightly basis with number and type of events billed

+ Assess penalties if staffing or work scope is not met

+ Ensure local reconciliation process is in compliance and administered for proper payment of invoices in accordance with contract elements

+ Monitor vendor compliance with Service Level Agreements and partner with local business office to administer financial remediation as specified in each contract


+ Collaborate with cross-divisional leadership in definition of and resolution to vendor related problems/issues

+ Provide feedback and documentation to Manager - Hub Business Partner (HBP) to support regularly scheduled performance reviews with suppliers to review performance against goals and Service Level Agreements

+ Escalate vendor performance issues in partnership with the HBP Manager and Vendor Planning in accordance with the Service Provider Governance Manual


+ High School Diploma, GED or educational equivalent to these (from another country)

+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Performance management, problem solving, decision making and innovation are key skill sets

+ Self-motivator with ability to fulfill job responsibilities with minimum supervision

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

+ Three years of frontline management experience in a Hub environment

+ Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license

+ Must flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights and holidays

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

+ Airport Operational experience including Business Office background with the ability to read and interpret contracts

+ Multi-discipline field experience

+ Strong working knowledge of Airline Business Partner relationships

+ Experience working with Service Providers
